Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, has launched Threads, a social media platform that rivals Twitter. The application developed by the Instagram team allows its users to share content and participate in public conversations.
Threads’ Number of Users Reaches a Record
After the activation of Threads, the number of users increases rapidly. The number of users of Threads, which was activated using users’ Instagram accounts, started to break records in a short time. Threads reached more than 2 million users in the first 2 hours of its launch. The current number of users of the platform has already exceeded 10 million.
What Does Threads Promise to Users?
You can log in to Threads using your Instagram account. Unlike Twitter, Threads has a 500 character limit and links, photos and 5-minute videos can be shared.
Threads is available to iOS and Android users in more than 100 countries. Threads application can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play Store.
What are Threads?
Posts of up to 500 characters and videos up to 5 minutes in length can be shared on Threads. Links and photos can also be published. You can like, share and comment on posts shared by other users. You can also share your Threads post to your Instagram story.
How to Use Threads?
– Download and open the Threads application.
-Enter your Instagram account information by using the “Login with Instagram” option.
– Press the “Sign in” button and select “Import from Instagram”.
– Select either “Public” or “Private” profile options.
– Follow the accounts you want from the list.
– Press “Join Threads”.
– You can share using the icon to the left of the heart icon.
